I've lost 25 lbs

Well only 4 weeks to go and I am at 230. I seem to have plateaued and this week I will make a concentrated effort remain good on my diet this week. with only 4 weeks left its becoming a little difficult.

After some time...

I am back to do some blogging.... I got a call from my brother in law he weighed in at 269 having lost 23 .... I have some work to do... I weighed in at 236 (down 19). I have increased my exercise but havent been so strict on my diet...

Here is to re-commitment to my diet!

back hurting

I had a really good workout this morning.... I am getting stronger and am feeling goode

Except that my back started to really hurt this morning. I came and worked from home switching from cold to heat and taking some pain meds.... I had planned on a 45 minute run tomorrow but I think I will just walk instead so as not aggravate the back

it was a good week....

I noticed that I am at least getting stronger. while I was lifting I went with more weight. I will be raising the amount of time that I do cardio this next week. I am eating less. the weight isnt coming off as fast as the first week but it is coming off

The other competitor

Well my brother in law Joel finally sent me his beginning weight.

292lbs (I started at 255)... He will be sending pictures to me to post hopefully today. Its funny as we were talking last night we both realized that we are losing weight by controlling portion sizes and exercising. In the first week alone we were both losing weight.

For week two I am going to step up the cardio and do it every day.... On days that I lift I will do cardio for 20 minutes and days that are cardio I will do cardio for 40 minutes

First work week

Well.... its always tough when you start a diet. Since you are used to snacking (my big problem) your stomach starts to grumble... I am doing ok now and am losing the desire to eat as much. Thursday night Nancy made a treat (Ice cream cookie) to which I only had half. I have worked out everyday and have not cheated on the diet.

I think next week I am going to increase the cardio to every day

The Bet

My brother in law Joel made me a bet. We are going to have a contest to lose weight. We originally planned on the loser buying tickets to the Utah v byu game but just now I realized that I will be coming out to Utah the week before. Anyway without the prize decided here are the rules:

We have 12 weeks to lose as much weight as we can. The percentage of weight loss that we lose will decide the winner. On 4/29 we will weigh in take pictures and I will post it on here.

UMIM.. the beginning

Well... I started this blog as a journal of me losing weight. On 4/30/2007 I am starting a workout program and every week I will update with a picture (scary as that might be) of my body and progression. Leading up to that time I will post the daily workout routine for the next 12 weeks. I will try and blog about 3 times a week about my progress.
